The importance of content
The
key issue requires participants to focus on goods related to weapons of mass
destruction (WMD) and dual-use items (DUI). Due to the market is exported to
the European Union and the United States has strict requirements or measures to
control the import or export of such products. Specifically, an Export
Controlled Goods Identification Number (ECCN) must be included in the document.
In addition, Thailand has issued the Act on Controlling Products Related to the
Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction B.E. 2562 (2019) and
a new regulation announced at the end of 2021 to control
DUI products using product identification numbers. For export control purposes
(ECCN) and goods classified as DUI goods, using a customs tariff number or
classification harmonization (HS) is applied to export. Together with, the
European Union has also modified and implemented new regulations related to DUI
in this regard.
Therefore, it is imperative for participants to inspect their goods prior to export to see if they are involved in WMD & DUI, and to provide an Export Control Identification Number (ECCN). and the harmonization system for the classification of goods (HS) in the relevant documents as well.
This training is therefore useful to help participants understand and know the products related to WMD & DUI very well in order to go back to examine and specify the ECCN & HS product code of the operator by yourself.
